Facebook is hard to navigate sometimes, especially when we are trying to explain the few guidelines that we have in WOCA. We have used the FEATURED section (found at the top of the WOCA Worldwide page) to explain as much as we could. Sometimes, it was just easier to do it in a “meme.” So here is our collection of memes, check them out. Explanations are below.

PRIVACY GUIDELINES

Privacy: What happens in the WOCA group stays in the WOCA group. This means that discussions, interactions, and content shared within the group should not be shared outside of the group without permission. Uphold the values of empathy and respect for women and their boundaries. Recognize that maintaining privacy is an essential aspect of our group's character and fosters a safe and supportive environment for all members.

Privacy with Images: If you wish to save an image shared within the group, right-click it and save it to your computer. Do not share the image or reveal where it came from without permission. If an image contains identifiable WOCAs (Women of WOCA), obtain permission from everyone in the image before publishing it outside of the group.

Privacy in Groups: Respect the privacy of members in topic-specific groups as well. Discussions and content shared in these groups should remain confidential and not be shared outside of the group without permission.

RESPECT FOR MEMBERS

Respect Confidentiality: Do not share the personal stories or experiences of members with anyone, either within or outside the group. Each person's story is theirs to tell, and it's important to respect their privacy.

Respect Members: Refrain from disclosing to friends or family outside of WOCA that a member is part of the group. The decision to join and participate in WOCA is personal, and members have the right to maintain their privacy regarding their involvement.

Respect the Space: Recognize the courage it takes for members to speak their truth in a safe and secure environment like WOCA. Protecting this space is essential to maintaining trust and fostering a supportive community.

RELIGIOUS DISCUSSIONS:

Religious Discussions: Our most important goal is healthy healing and support among our members. To achieve this, we have implemented guidelines to limit engagement with religious discussions or rhetoric within our main group.

Dedicated Discussion Group: For those who wish to engage in religious discussions, or share related content, we have created a separate group specifically for this purpose. The WOCA Religious Discussions group provides a space for members to explore and discuss religious topics without impacting the main focus of our community.

HOW FACEBOOK PRIVATE POSTS WORK

When you join any group within the WOCA community, you are entering a private space where confidentiality and privacy are paramount. Here are the key privacy guidelines to keep in mind:

Private Groups: All groups within the WOCA community are private, meaning that only members of the respective group can view the content shared within it.

Restricted Access: Friends and family who are not members of the group will not be able to see anything you post or interact with within the group. Access is restricted to group members only.

News Feed Visibility: When you post something within a private group, it will appear on your personal news feed because you authored it. However, the content of your private group news feed cannot be seen by anyone else except you.

Confidentiality: It's important to respect the confidentiality of the discussions and interactions within the group. Avoid sharing screenshots or discussing the content of private group conversations outside of the group.
